A film rated with a U (standing for Universal) means that the film is suitable for ages four and over. This means that it will not contain anything to do with sex, violence or anything else that younger viewers may find distressing. The film will only contain mild language with the possible use of some bad language such as 'hell'. The film should convey a positive message and show things such as violence as being bad but have a positive outcome so as not to upset younger children.

UNIVERSAL (U)

After researching film classifications, we agreed that the most sensible certification for our film is a 15. This gives us more freedom into the sorts of scenes that we can include because we are appealing to an older audience. As we are planning to include quite gory zombies, we felt that a higher certification would ensure that younger children are not upset or unsettled by the content.
