FILMING DAYS

Our filming took place over two days, allowing us to focus on different parts of our opening.

On day 1 of filming (8/02/2017), we focussed on filming the shots for our montage. We choose to film this first as it required lots of changes of location. We were able to successfully film the scenes we had originally planned as well as others that we discovered as we were filming. We thought it would be a good idea to do this in case we were short on time or another shot didn't turn out the way we had hoped. We considered the montage to be the most vital part of our opening as it is the part that will have the greatest effect on the audience, therefore, it was important to us that we filmed as much as possible to give us more options during editing. We split the filming of the montage equally so that we each had a chance to experiment with different shots. It also allowed other people to have a chance at directing the shots, giving us a variety of different views and opinions.

On day 2 of filming (16/02/2017), we filmed the first part of our opening. It was important that we organised our time well as we were limited by the time we had with our actors. Bernadette and I took turns filming the beginning as Ryan was one of our actors so he was in shot most of the time. The hand held part was filmed by Jess so that you could get the full effect of them being alone and filming themselves. We took several takes of each shot to ensure that we were happy with what we had. It also allowed us to experiment with different angles and shots if the ones we had planned didn't work how we expected.

Overall, over our two days of filming, we feel that we achieved a lot and that our filming was very successful and well organised.
